Since April 2015, the CQC has expected care workers taking health and social care posts to complete the Care Certificate. This requires training across 15 standards, as follows:
- Understand your role
- Your personal development
- Duty of care
- Equality and diversity
- Work in a person centred way
- Communication
- Privacy and dignity
- Fluids and nutrition
- Awareness of mental health, dementia and learning disabilities
- Safeguarding adults
- Safeguarding children
- Basic life support (Theory & Practice)
- Health and safety
- Handling information
- Infection prevention and control
We deliver on-site or off-site training covering each standard to a comprehensive level.
Training for Care will provide Organisations with the development of any systems necessary to support the Learner in completing the practical competency based elements of the Care Certificate.
Evidence of a Learner’s completion of practical assessments can be uploaded onto this site enabling the evidence to be recorded properly, enabling them to complete every part of their Care Certificate effectively and efficiently.
